I created a simple gift card holder to be used as teacher gifts using a mini kraft bag which I stamped with two different snowflake designs from the Sweet Treats – Christmas stamp set using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.  Next, I used multiple stamps from the Layered Treat Labels stamp set and then cut them out with the coordinating SugarCuts – LayeredTreat Label die set.SPD Sweet Treats - Christmas by Wendy Ramlakhan

I stamped the cocoa cup image from the recently released, Sweet Treats – Christmas stamp set onto kraft cardstock using Memento Luxe ink (Love Letter) and added a pop of white by heat embossing my sentiment from the same set.

Along with a Starbucks gift card, I tucked a red cardstock tag inside for my children to write a little note to their teacher using the SugarCuts – Gift Tag die.  I looped a strip of burlap ribbon through the top of the tag and fastened it in place with a mini clothespin.

Being a slow crafter, with not much crafty time –  I loved how the many pieces from each of the SugarCuts die and stamp sets made this such a FUN and QUICK project to create with endless creative possibilities.

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!

In appreciating for you stopping by today and leaving a comment, I will give one randomly selected commenter the SugarPea Designs products used in my project and shown below.

Hello Sweet Crafty Friends and welcome to our Monthly ProjectPea Blog Hop!!

ProjectPea-Blog-Hop-GraphicEach month we will be challenging our fabulous team of ProjectPea Designers to create FUN & CREATIVE projects that are sure to make you look at your stamp sets with brand new eyes!

I’ve been so inspired by the amazing projects that the ProjectPea Designer create each month that I’ve decided to join them.  🙂    My project features a fall trio created using stamps from our Bountiful Blessings stamp set along with new SugarCut die sets.  On Monday, you got a peek at my card from this trio in which I used our latest SugarSketch 15 Challenge.SugarPea Designs - Bountiful Blessings by Wendy Ramlakhan...

Each year my family enjoys Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom’s house.  She sets the most lovely table, and this year she asked me to create place cards for everyone.  The adorably sweet scarecrow girl and pumpkin accessory images found in the Bountiful Blessings stamp set were the perfect choice for getting the job done.

SugarPea Designs - Bountiful Blessings by Wendy Ramlakhan…..

I kept things very simple by just using a small strip of designer paper stitched onto a scored 2×3 dark chocolate piece of cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment and then tried to mimic the same font by adding my son’s name.  🙂  The scarecrow girl and pumpkin nestled in the hay bale were colored with Copics and then fussy cut and and popped up with foam tape and attached to the place card.

Next, I created a gorgeous, yet super simple tag using our new SugarCuts – Gift Tag die.

SugarPea Designs - Bountiful Blessings by Wendy Ramlakhan….

Using the banner from the SugarCuts – Gift Tag die,  I added texture with cork and then stamped with one of the sentiments from the Bountiful Blessings stamp set.

You can find all of the products that I used HERE in the SugarPea Designs Boutique.

Here’s my take on the sketch using the Bountiful Blessings stamp set and the SugarCuts – Layered Treat Label die.

SugarPea Designs - Bountiful Blessings by Wendy Ramlakhan

For my card I started out with base of dark chocolate cardstock and chose designer papers rich with fall colors from Farm House and machine stitched along the panels.  Next, using the new Sugar Cuts – Layered Treat Label die, I cut out chipboard, cardstock and cork and stacked them together with foam tape for depth and dimension.  I chose one of the pumpkins from Bountiful Blessings to place in the center of the label and added a strip of orange burlap behind for a pop of color and texture.   The sentiment stamped in Vintage Distress and a few little wooden dots finish things off.

Yep, we were FREEZING!!  So let’s embrace it…turn up the heat or get toasty by a fire, grab something warm to drink and get your craft on.

Our monthly theme challenge is Winter Wishes.  So submit those cards, tags, gifts that feature anything related to winter.

Here’s my take on the sketch using the adorable sweet Merry Christmoose stamp set.

SugarPea Designs - Merry Christmoose by Wendy Ramlakhan

For my card I started out with base of dark chocolate cardstock and added some fun designer papers from Fancy Pants, Oh Deer!  I’m sort of obsessed with playing with distress inks at the moment so I thought I’d try and create a mountain and lake background.  I then stamped the 3 different sized trees in the Merry Christmoose set around the lake and heat embossed the sentiment in white.  After coloring the moose with Copics and paper piecing his scarf with the same designer papers, I cut him out and popped him up with foam tape.  A few little wooden dots finish things off.

With all of the versatile and silly sentiments found in our Merry Christmoose set, you will find plenty of occasions to get this Moose inky all year long.
