Today, I thought it would be fun for ME to take a turn at our Monthly Sweet Talk feature.

Sweet-Talk-Graphic-Me

I’m Feeling…

Crowded!  For the last few months, my family of 6 along with our new puppy have been living in a small apartment while we await the construction on our new home to be completed.  Space is very tight and privacy is pretty much non-exsistant, but we’re troopers and are making the best of the situation.

I’m Wishing…

For cooler weather!!   Central Florida experienced 3 GLORIOUS days of Fall last week and now we are back to Summer.  😉   I’d like to get a chance to wear the other 30% of my wardrobe soon.

I’m Loving…

The morning time snuggles I have with my two little ones.  Weekdays, I’ll snuggle up with each of them a few minutes before they need to get up and get ready for school.  On Weekends, they return the favor and crawl into bed with their Daddy and I.  Hugs, giggles and tickles.  My favorite way to start a day!

I’m Creating…

My new Office/Creative Studio.  Well, technically I’m just gathering ideas at the moment since the house isn’t ready yet.  But I’m having a lot of fun designing and window shopping for some of the furnishings I will want in my new space.  I just a little bit excited about it.  🙂

I’m Reading…

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon…for the 2nd time!!  The book has also been adapted into a TV series on Starz.  It’s one of my most favorite books EVER and is the first in a series of 8 books.  If you’ve never had the pleasure of reading this series, I highly recommend it. I’ve read them all except for the recently released 8th book.  And after getting only a handful of pages into it, I realized that my memory is a little fuzzy on some of the finer details so Idecided to start from the beginning and read them all straight through.

I’m Watching…

I honestly don’t watch much TV at all and I NEVER watch the news…it’s too depressing.  But I will make TV time for, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey and Mr. Selfridge.

Mary says: “My all time favourite SPD stamp set is Rice Rice Baby. Apart from it being so appropriate for my Oriental relations, the sentiments are all perfect for lots of different occasions too. I particularly like this card using it as it reflects my CAS style plus my love of embossing folders and simple embellishing.”

Here is my take on the sketch using, Twinkle Twinkle.

SugarPea Designs Clear Stamps - Twinkle Twinkle by Wendy RamlakhanI first stamped my image onto white cardstock and then cut it out using a circle shaped die.  The night sky was created using Distress Ink’s which I then flicked with opaque white ink to create the stars.  Foam tape, machine stitching, enamel dots along with two different sized stars created with scraps from the night sky covered with a clear glitter brush are my finishing touches.

I’m a slow card maker, I mean ridiculously slow.  So this card, created by our very own ProjectPea Designer, Lisa Lara has me in complete awe.  She designed this card from start to finish in less than 20 mins.    Quick and cute seem like the perfect combination to me!!

Lisa

She has created this quick and fun card using not one, but TWO different SPD stamp sets.  The triangles are from the Spare Me stamp set and the goat and sentiments are from our Totes Ma Goats set.

And just to show off, she completed the inside as well.  🙂

You can find both, Totes Ma Goats and Spare Me in our online SugarPea Designs Boutique.

Hello Sugarpeeps!

This month I’ve asked the design team to share their favorite SugarPea Designs card with you – you’re in for a treat, this team is SO talented!

I’m kicking things off with my fave creation – though it was so hard to choose just one!

SPDMay1SarahGough (1)

I think this card featuring Hello, Sunshine is my fave! I just love how this set looks wonderful in bright colors, or more subdued with a gray sky like I have here. It’s always so fun to decide which little buddy to stamp as well!

Here’s a peek inside this card…

You can find Hello, Sunshine in the online shoppe HERE!

My jaw literally dropped when I got a sneak peek of SugarPea Designer, Kim O’Connell’s card featuring our Undying Love stamp set.  Just look at that ah-mazing paper pieced sports jacket and the creepy glow she added behind him.

{happy sigh!} I could look at this all day!!

What is there not to love about our Undying Love stamp set?  From the fun details in the zombie couple such as protruding bones, an exposed heart and stitched lips to the hilariously funny sentiments.  I think you will find this set to be so amazingly versatile that you will be creating with it over and over again for any zombie fan in your life.

SPD - Lets Fiesta by Wendy Ramlakhan

For my card sample, I’ve chosen the adorable donkey and cactus accessory images from our recently released, Let’s Fiesta! stamp set.  Did you know that many of the accessory images in our stamp sets are specfically designed to be used on their own, as well as to compliment the main image within the set?  Just look at how sweet these two are when paired together!

Why not bring home our Let’s Fiesta! stamp set and see for yourself just how many fun occasions you’ll find to celebrate with it!!
