SugarPea Designs is proudly participating in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event by the wonderful Tracey McNeely where for 25 days she features Christmas tags. There are lots of guests and giveaways along the way! The SugarPea Design Team and I have some gorgeous tags to share with you today.
I absolutely adore tags!! I love how quick and easy they are to create and not to mention they make any gift a little more special.
I started out by die cutting a longer tag with the SugarCuts – Gift Tag die set by not letting the bottom edge pass through the machine, adjusting to my desired length and then finally cutting the bottom. I created the moon by die cutting a circle with masking tape and then sponging on the night sky with various blue shades of distress ink. The moon was a little too bright white when I removed the mask, so I sponged over it lightly with the ink that was left on my sponge. I added a few stars by tapping Hero Arts – Unicorn spray with a paint brush. The sentiment was stamped along the bottom and heat embossed in white.
The sweet shepherd boy is from our Lost Without You stamp set and was colored with Copic markers. This particular stamp set was released in 2014, but still remains one of my Christmas favorites! I finished things off by adding some frayed linen ribbon.
