I created a sweet and simple card using something from from all of the products we are introducing today.

SugarPea-Designs-Flowers-For-Mom-by-Wendy-RamlakhanI started with a stripe of patterned paper from the Sugar & Spice paper pad on a white card base.  Next I stamped and arranged the rose, leaves and tiny little rose bud (peeking out underneath) from Flowers For Mom – which I then cut out using the coordinating SugarCut – Flowers For Mom die.  The SugarCut – Mom Word was cut multiple times from pink cardstock and then glued together to create dimension.  To finish things off, I stamped a coordinating sentiment and added a few Princess sequins.

My Mother is one of the hardest working persons I know. She is mid 70’s and takes care of three houses one of which she and my Dad are in the process of building. This is the second house they have built together from the ground up. She also is raising a grandchild and daughter with learning disabilities. I’m very proud of my Mom.

My Mom is the reason for my interest in crafts. She was a fabulous seamstress and in her later years made adorable cloth dolls with hand-embroidered faces and cute little outfits with matching shoes and hats. She also was a gardener with flowers everywhere. Stamping and die-cutting would have been right up her alley. She would have been in card heaven for all the beautiful things she could make today! I miss her every day; thanks for the beautiful Mother’s Day release.

I am loving the release so far! Everything needed to make a great card for my mom! She is a special lady! When my mom was 37, she had 2 daughters ages 17 and 14 (me). By the time she was 40, she had 5 daughters!! There were two newborns, a 2-year-old, a17-year-old (me again), and a 20-year-old. Yes, she gave birth to all of us, but out of the 4 deliveries, the only time she went into labor while she was camping, was with the twins😊. Only once did she say, “that’s not my baby, that baby is ugly!” – that ugly baby would be me! They gave her something to “knock her out” during the difficult labor before I was finally born fully breach (OUCH!!) She was still under the effects of the drugs (or so she says 😉). Anyway, if you ask my mom if she has a favorite daughter, she will tell you yes. She actually has five favorite daughters! Even though my sisters and I don’t have much in common, we do all have the same favorite mom! We each think she is a pretty special person!
